Continuing to tell the story of “Saturday Night Live,” NBC presents a new installment of the compelling behind-the-scenes documentary series chronicling the highs and lows of the iconic comedy show. “Saturday Night Live Backstage” airs on Sunday, February 20 from 9-11 p.m. ET/PT.

“This new special really does give viewers a backstage look at how SNL works. And it features both funny and candid behind-the-scenes stories that you’ve never heard, told by the biggest stars in entertainment from the entire span of the show,” said Rick Ludwin, Executive Vice President of Late Night and Prime Time Series."

"Bridesmaids" Trailer -

Above is the first trailer for Bridesmaids. Penned by Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo, Bridesmaids centers around Annie (Kristen Wiig) who agrees to be maid of honour to her friend Lillian (Maya Rudolph). From there she has to plan a bachelorette party with Lillian's bridesmaids played by Ellie Kemper, Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne and Wendi McLendon-Covey. Also appearing in the trailer are Jon Hamm and Chris O'Dowd. It's a stellar cast and with Paul Feig directing and Judd Apatow producing, I have no doubt but that it will be great.

Are you excited to see Bridesmaids?

Russell Brand to host Saturday Night Live February 12

NBC has announced that Get Him To the Greek star Russell Brand will host SNL February 12 with musical guest Chris Brown. This marks the British comedian’s debut appearance on Saturday Night Live and if his past comedic enterprises are to be judged, it should be an interesting show.

Heads Up -

This weekend's host Dana Carvey will appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this Thursday. Don't forget to tune in!
"I always get a lot of weird offers and sometimes I take them, especially if it’s a chance to cross over to a big audience and a young audience. I was in San Francisco when I got the offer. They sent the song, and I loved it, and they said they were fans. They told me who they were, and sent links to their work – I’d already seen a lot of it and liked it.
I like the politics of the song. It says it’s fun to be creepy!
It all happened weirdly and quickly; I think I had the flu the whole time. I did it in San Francisco and then was home in Baltimore watching it live and I was surprised and thrilled. They sent me a lovely bottle of wine from a local wine guy – not wire wine. They took some care to get it from a Baltimore wine-seller."

SNL Rating -

Saturday Night Live hosted by Jessie Eisenberg with musical guest Nicki Minaj averaged a preliminary 3.2 rating with adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with Local People Meters. That ties the second highest adults 18-49 rating of the season (also scored by the 9/25/10 premiere) and trails only the 1/8/11 Jim Carrey (NFL Wildcard boosted) episode.
