The Stefonerator

We all love Stefon, Weekend Update’s purveyor of the inside juice on New York’s club scene, right? That’s a given. Well, why not try The Stefonerator? It’s a website that asks you to fill in nouns, numbers, names - like Mad Libs - and according to what you have entered, generates a Stefon monologue or a Stefonologue if you will.

Try it out and see what kind of horrific club experience Stefon will regale you with!

(Thanks to Sujit, who created this site, for bringing it t my attention!)

Colin Jost on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon/John Mulaney at Whiplash

SNL writer/comedian Colin Jost made his debut TV appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night and kind of killed it. Watch and see for yourself. Great work, Jost! Fun fact - yesterday Google Analytics registered twelve separate Colin Jost-related search terms that led to my blog. Someone's popular!

In other SNL-related news, writer/comedian John Mulaney will be performing at Whiplash in UCB on Monday night along with Weekend Update contributor Mike Drucker. British comic Daniel Kitson, who is currently performing his one-man show "The Interminable Suicide of Gregory Church" off-Broadway, will headline the show and Moshe Kasher and Jim Marsdale will also be performing. As per usual, the show is free and reservations can be made here. So, if you are in the New York area, check it out.

Jesse Eisenberg, Dana Carvey to host SNL

Jesse Eisenberg and Dana Carvey have been confirmed to host SNL. Eisenberg, star of The Social Network, will host January 29 with musical guest Nicki Minaj while Carvey, formerly of SNL, will host February 5 with musical guest Linkin Park.

I am beyond thrilled to see these guys get the opportunity to host. Anyone who has seen Eisenberg in interviews will know what a tremendously funny and witty guy he is and I'm intrigued to see how he'll fare hosting SNL. Carvey, meanwhile, is one of my all-time favourite SNL cast members and I cannot wait to see him back on SNL, hopefully reprising a character or two.

Are you excited for Eisenberg and Carvey to host?

Andy Samberg to star in "I Hate You Dad"

Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg are in talks to star in I Hate You Dad. The comedy follows a father who moves in with his and fiancee, only to start feuding with his bride-to-be. Samberg would play Sandler’s son.

The script was penned by David Caspe, with a rewrite performed by David Wain and Ken Marino. While the project is still in development and Columbia are still on the hunt for a director, both Sandler and Samberg are attached. When exactly we’ll see the flick hit our screens remains to be seen.

Andy Samberg in Glamour Magazine

Andy Samberg did a Q&A with Glamour Magazine in which he used the word "sexy" at least seven hundred times? You can check it out here.

Photos from a photoshoot with the magazine are included after the jump.

Saturday night’s edition of  SNL hosted by Jim Carrey drew an impressive 7.8 rating/18 share in metered-market households, the highest rating for the late night show since Betty White hosted last May. The east-coast airing of SNL was delayed by fifteen minutes on Saturday night after the Jets-Colts NBC Wild Card Playoff game (20.8 rating/33 share) ran overtime.
